Tell-tale

Damp and cold. Swags of heavy grey clouds sag over Lago Maggiore. Above 500m, the woods clothing the lakeside hills are sprinkled in fairy-dust, icing sugar snow.

In our own neck of the woods, only patches of snow remain. In one there is a boot-print and a paw-print, whispering of yesterday's woodland excursion. A woman and her dog. Always together.

So nice to read how much Jakob! is part of your life now.
Doesn't he chase the so-called stray cats?

Ow, don't stop there! That's a fine opening for a most intriguing tale....

Love it. Sounds like me and my fuzzy boy too.

Hi Michelle, Yes, since he stopped using me as a puppy chew and since we met our own personal dog trainer, we've become great friends. The cats? He grew up with one kitten, who now tolerates him from the 2m-high top of Mathilda and occasionally bloodies his nose. The others give him a wide berth, although his overtures towards them are more in a spirit of curiosity than of predation.
