First signs

One degree above at 8:30am. An early promise of a day requiring sunglasses turned rapidly to a day requiring Prozac - overcast and damp.

But at least there are signs that spring (dare I say it?) is on the way. The spring flowers - yellow, blue and white - are out, some of the camellias have blossomed and there are buds on many of the trees. And this morning as we started our descent we were greeted by the first rappings of our resident woodpecker.

Lucky you. We had even more snow over the weekend - and lots of minus temperatures...

It's raining here in Georgia with the threat of snow later today. I look forward to seeing the first signs of Spring here too.

Visiting from SITS. Have a great day!

Hi Stopping by from SITS. Spring is coming to Michigan...How do I know you ask? I heard birds chirping....Love that sound. It's 28 degrees here. Did you know that on Friday It was reported that 49 states had snow...that is scary.

Hi Linda. Don't tell me -- 28 degrees, that's Fahrenheit, isn't it!! Maybe I should send you the Prozac!

Even in Milan we spot the first signs of coming Spring.

We actually had sunshine and warmth in the sun here in Lazio until mid-afternoon today. We have the same yellow blue and winter spring flowers and the first daffodil is nearly out. Narcissi have been blooming for awhile.

Not Spring yet though as rain forecast again for the rest of the week. Sunshine is such an excellent anti-depressant isn't it!

Ahh, the woodpecker. Birds always make us think of spring.
