Carmine quotes No. 9 : Spreading a little happiness

Twenty-eight degrees at 8am. Breezy but sunny.

B., aged almost 22 months, sings her first song :

Happy happy, You You

Happy happy, You You

Happy happy happy happy happy happy happy happy
happy happy happy happy happy happy happy happy...

(between giggles) You YOU!

How sweet. In this moments you know how lucky you are being at home with your children. I left work also because I could not stand the idea that in moments like the one you described, the baby sitter or the Kindergarten teacher where there and not me.

You're right. I'd forgotten until now how lucky mothers like us are who are in a position to stay at home to raise the children and have those little moments as their reward. For so many it isn't an option.

And you know, I have a secret. I don't want to go back to 'work'. Ever!

Adored it. How charmingly sweet.
And I won't ever go back to work either. I'd die if someone else got to enjoy these kinds of little wonderfuls with my own son. So sad that so many women (and men!) sometimes have to miss out on so much because food, clothing and home are such imperatives. I thank my lucky stars almost everyday for what I enjoy.

Your post made me smile. My Bear had a song that went:

Mommy, Mommy, ooh ooh,

Mommy, Mommy, ooh ooh

Repeat.

The memory always makes me smile.~~Dee
