Carmine Superiore from the south,
with Lago Maggiore and the Swiss Alps.
with Lago Maggiore and the Swiss Alps.
Winter, 2011.
The mountains & the lake, people & places, children & chickens, frescoes & felines, barbera & books.
Stunning! Just stunning...
Interesting different viewpoint!
Stunning as always!
Interesting viewpoint between all the still bare trees! Should be in green cover soon I would imagine! Lovely photo!
So beautiful.
What does 'sasso' mean. louise? Is it South?
'Sasso' means stone or rock. South is 'sud'. Sasso Carmine is one of the old names for the village - it was only named Carmine Superiore after Carmine Inferiore was built, in the last 30-40 years.
