Morning after the snow

A couple of centimetres of snow underfoot and a wind that whips around the medieval corners of Carmine, sending shivers of snow down off the stone roofs to glitter in the sunshine.

It's beautiful...both your words and the photo. There is something magical about freshly fallen snow. Last night was a treat for me, watching swirling flakes and now everything is silent.

We are dusted icing sugar white again too, but the sun hasn't come through yet to make the snow glisten! Gorgeous photo!

That picture is stunning! You need to publish a book of photography! What a beautiful site.

I agree with Joy - the photographs of the area are stunning and deserved to be published! Why dont you approach the local tourist office or association - they might be interested too.

Hi Louise,
this is Barbara Vigano. I believe we met on Tony's jet boat on Lago Maggiore. What a WONDERFUL blog you have created. I love both the anecdotes about your life in Carmine Superiore and your photographs. Brava, bravissima.
Tanti cari auguri per 2010.
Hoping to see you again. Barbara
