Sunshine on the puddles

Twenty-five degrees at midday, with sunshine on the puddles. Carmine is intoxicated with the smell of damp earth and ripe figs.

Phew, thats a bit warm at midday. After our Atlantic northerly gales blew themselves out, the weather has gone all sulky, overcast and cold with rain forecast for the weekend. The leaves are turning yellow and the tree rats have started burying beech nuts in the lawn ready for the winter.
