Two sketches of Carmine made by a German visitor in 1927. They were discovered at an auction house in Germany, and now they're back where they started out - in Carmine!
The mountains & the lake, people & places, children & chickens, frescoes & felines, barbera & books.

Carmine between the wars
As Carmine starts to fill up with its summer population, the weather remains cool morning and evening, but hot during the day. Perfect!

I loved the sketches - lots of views not normally depicted. Do you have them in your home?

Yes, they're ours. They are nice areen't they? You can see all the terraced gardens and vineyards there used to be before they were abandoned and grew over.
