Tonight is the night, Seraphine.
And remember: open the door and close the window

Great quote for an innocent victim... Wonder if her parents feel the same?

God knows how her parents must be feeling - the global media must have taken the real Nedu and turned her into something else, into many things that they can't possibly recognise as being her, as ever having been her. Including a martyr. The quote chimed for me because it seemed she was an innocent bystander, not involved in the protests at all. That her senseless death had nothing to do with the cries of 'martyr' that have come since.

The quote was powerful. Now I'm going to show my ignorance, but I'm curious, what is the context? What is the story of this girl's death?

Hello Warren, It seems an innocent bystander shot dead amid protests against the election results in Iran. Take a look at this :

Louise,
All this time later and I'm finally reading this article. Maybe that is good, since it guarantees that her life is still remembered in some way.
