"I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I intended to be."
The city, from whence I came seven years ago, can trundle along without me.
I'm here to stay.
The mountains & the lake, people & places, children & chickens, frescoes & felines, barbera & books.
"I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I intended to be."
"I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I intended to be."
With a view over Lago Maggiore and the kiss of the warm morning sunshine, hard winters become distant memories and your heart sets down yet another root. I'm glad you are where you intended to be.
That's a wonderful feeling.
Dammit, girl -- won't you come back even if I promise you a job fit for our organisational genius herself and a fee to match? I'll mail you!
Oh, I'd love to visit you and see your beautiful pictures in real-time, Louise. Best Wishes~ Loren
We always consider home as the country we were born in, but home can be where we settle and are happy bringing up a family.
When you have been to Carmine and its surroundings it captures your heart - who would ever want to leave!! And a magical place to grow up in for the two totties. A fairytale village with all its little alleyways, streams and different levels. Heaven for kids.
Lovely quote Louise! And I agree with your last comment about homelands and war...
In the name of Homeland. Sarajevo 1914. Poland 1939. Bacska 1944. Case rests.
