Sant'Agata

Minus two at 9am, bright and sunny (thank-you for listening, God), with a hard frost and white horses on the lake. A day, in fact, like the day just before Christmas, when I took this picture.

Sant'Agata in the morning sun, seen from Cannobio

PS. The first primulas have been spotted blooming in Marianne's garden.

Look at that burnished landscape!

Beautiful, but almost reminds me of a Sci-Fi landscape in a movie.

I can't quite believe it myself, but here in The Hague we've been having hard frost and bright sunshine. The Dutch are hysterical with excitement at this opportunity to go skating on "natural" ice for the first time in 12 years. Skating competitions seem to be happening overnight! Won't be joining them - South Africans don't seem to have the in-built knack to learn skating!

I can see what you mean when you say it 'hangs' over Cannobio. Pretty

Gorgeous. It's as if you placed a yellow/orange piece of film over your lens
