Shepherding (cajoling, dragging, whipping, carrying...) the children up and down this hill four times a day can be a right royal pain in the butt, but when a November morning provides a picture like this, you can't be sorry you're doing it.

Mmmm... So nice. I remember once when I was rushing the kids to preschool. It had not been the best of mornings. Suddenly I stopped and looked at the beautiful sunrise (sun rises here about 7:30 this time of year). I releaxed and felt so happy. I tried to share this feeling with my three-year-old with less success :-)
