Four Carmine cats at their post in the pantry. Second from the left is Mamma di Tutti, who has mothered more than 20 kittens in her long life. She's a tough nut, but now has difficulty eating and breathing and has lost so much weight I fear she may not see the summer. I'll do my best for her.
The mountains & the lake, people & places, children & chickens, frescoes & felines, barbera & books.

Think the little momma cat has a failing heart - she is probably a good age and you have made her comfortable when she needed it, I know.

Look at them! Like peas in a pod.
I lost Jasper and LouLou, the cats I brought to deep rural from an appartment life in Milan just a year after we got here.
There is a lot to be said for knowing you gave a kitty a well cared for exisitance when losing them to time.
