Oh, this is funny - and true! The only part that is missing is the: people pretending to understand the sermon but really writing their shopping lists!
Louise, it is a shame this is so funny because 1) Its true and 2) I'm a preacher! I've got to figure out if there is some way to put this on powerpoint and show the church. I know they'll appreciate it. Thanks for posting this. wb
I like ladyfi's addition to the 3 circles - would need quite a big space. Putting it on powerpoint would be great Warren! One church I attended had pre-written sermon notes in the bulletin and there were blanks to fill in! And that wasn't for the children! That was too funny!
Thanks to all who contributed decorations and refreshments this year, as well as all those who walked up the hill in the ice and snow to welcome in the Christmas season in Carmine Superiore.
The story so far...
For more than 20 years, Louise lived and worked in London in order to finance a fairly serious rough-travel habit. In 2002, she and her now-husband (M.) bought a pile of granite in the tiny medieval village of Carmine Superiore overlooking northern Italy's Lago Maggiore, and set about turning it into a holiday-home. Six years, two children (AJ, 5, and B, 3), six cats, dozens of chickens and a broken-wing seagull later, and she finds herself with an almost-finished home, but is starting to wonder what happened to the holiday...
A View from Carmine Superiore is based on daily life in a small village in northern Italy, but it's a writer's prerogative to embroider and embroider I sometimes do. So please don't hold me liable for any actions you decide to take as a result of reading this blog...

Love it! I could spend some hiding-from-the-rain-time browsing Dave's cartoons.
