Motherhood means ... No. 29
Motherhood means...
... a feeling of relief on the last day of term with the prospect of 'holiday' stretching before you, and a feeling of equal if not greater relief on the first day of term standing in a house ringing with welcome solitude...
The children here get less holidays during the school year, but longer summer holidays when the weather is too hot to do anything but loll around. For us, the summer holidays start in six weeks' time!! Aaaargh! Mind you, whenever a holiday comes around, you can see that the children are tired, and Mama is certainly bushed from all that upping and downing!
“The difficulty with this conversation is that it's very different from most of the ones I've had of late. Which, as I explained, have mostly been with trees.” - Douglas Adams
