I watched my baggage go sliding merrily along the conveyor belt, and chatted amiably with the AirItalia clerk, until she mildly informed me, "But madam, you have no visa for India." Woops...knew there had to be something I forgot, but couldn't it have been a pair of shoes under the bed or something equally innocuous?! Seems Milan wanted me for 2 more weeks: that's how long it took to get the visa. In that time I fell in love with Firenze...♥ Brajahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07693196044262677095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2224466266974963937.post-31571448776734151202008-11-01T03:25:00.000+01:002008-11-01T03:25:00.000+01:00Wow, the irony of you reading MY writing about the...Wow, the irony of you reading MY writing about the power of the written word is, well, beyond words! My Jan also had to come to the rescue so that I wouldn't be carted off with drug smugglers and the like to be repatriated to SA while he and kids with their double citizenship remained happily in Europe! And then there was the time I thought that I was flying the next day and he was waiting for me at the airport... He wasn't half as patient as M! Perhaps because it wasn't - as the kids in our street say - "Hellowen". Have to go and buy sweets - they very considerately put a note through the letterbox to warn us - we old ones might just keel over from fright!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2224466266974963937.post-35903858288876882702008-10-31T12:13:00.000+01:002008-10-31T12:13:00.000+01:00Love the little references to italy, like Mussolin...Love the little references to italy, like Mussolini Mustard.
